About Sports Narrative

Looking for that unique angle or storyline that nobody else has considered.

The common narrative often prevails because it's the most logical one that resonates but there is always a hidden perspective waiting for the cold light of reflection and observation.

I see sports as a jumping off point to examine human relationships and interactions. To look at the psychology behind the public face that all humans offer up to the world and go beyond the minutiae of game summaries (though there will be some of that as well.)

The crucible of sports presents clearly defined rules and a stark playing field free from the clutter and detritus of everyday life. It tests our abilities to adapt, compete and win. So too it provides an unforgiving lens under which to observe the best and worst in human behaviour.

Sports Narrative is a webzine that focuses on the world of sports. Here you can find original articles and reviews.

The site is divided into 2 main parts: the webzine, where longer articles wil be posted, and the blog, where shorter, spur of the moment musings can be found.

Please feel free to e-mail any story ideas, tips, requests or photos that you would like to see included on the site.
